Each team is differentiated by:
- Dance style focus (hip hop only vs. all styles)
- Commitment level (amount of training per week, # of performances, competitions, etc.)
- Age level (some teams are broken into multiple age groups; please see each team audition info below for further details

AUDITION FAQ’S

What do I do if my Dancer has any conflicts with the audition dates?

Please fill out and indicate in the online form. We will contact you over email with next steps to still be considered for team.

I’m still unsure what team my Dancer wants to audition for - how can they audition and be placed on the team appropiate for them?

We highly recommend you and your Dancer review each team and see what is the right fit for your Dancer. Considerations such as time commitment, style focus, and long term goals are helpful to choose a team.

If you still are not sure, but want your Dancer to be considered for any EDS Teams, please do the following:

1. Fill out the Performance Team application form
2. Attend the first day, Monday June 22
3. Your Dancer may be asked to attend more days of the audition week

Can I just show up to the audition?

No. We ask that you fill out a team application from one of the teams above by Friday June 19 in order to come to our audition.

If my Dancer is not accepted on the team they auditioned for, are there other opportunities for my Dancer on other EDS teams?

You can indicate on the application form if you’d be willing to have your Dancer recommended to another EDS team in the event they are not accepted.

Are there any pre-requisites my Dancer needs to audition?

There are no specific requirements (such as # of years dancing, skill/technical requirements, etc.) to audition, but they must be able to learn choreography and know basic fundamental dance terms to be evaluated on during the audition process.
